NEW GENERATION MAGAZINE Inspiring young people

The NGM is an independent magazine that focuses on portraying young people, their careers and studies. It helps to link all service providers to the young people to their end users or beneficiaries.

It also helps the young people and communities to think about their lives and where possible, to help them achieve something challenging they found difficult.

It features interviews, fashion, health, beauty, and current affairs.

It is the first of its kind in Uganda because it revolves around real life people and focuses on what we really want to want to read.

It also offers professional journalism workshops for schools and other young people. These workshops offer practical opportunities to explore all areas of journalism including interviews, feature-writing, fashion shoots and design.

NGM Envisions sourcing, identifying, developing and delivering locally unique, youth-specific, inspirational and significant content to the youth, with the singular view of converting reading from an optional hobby to an important habit.

To give a voice to young people from all social back grounds, developing life skills and employability through media related activities

Who runs the NGM

The NGM is run by a group of passionate and enthusiastic young and adult Ugandans who have passion for youth issues. We have our team members, occasional writers, and contributors, from across the country and even from outside the country while we handle the operations.

It is a venture ‘of the youth’ by the youth and for the youth’ and is the work of both school going and out of school young people driven by the passion to make their voices heard. We encourage and support our readers to get them published on our widely popular platform and our existing work culture enables tens of students and the youth to join our team.

We are close to students and the youth who have a flair for writing. From reporting news stories of the youth interest to asking the right questions interest of the society.
